self evaluation

Taking this course has helped me find confidence within myself and within fashion. And that’s why I’m extremely excited to go into my PA next October because I’ll have previous experience and I’ll know what to do and be efficient. What I learned in term 1 and 2 was that I am a textiles student. I thought I would go the the Womenswear pathway but I figured out what I am best suitable for. I happy that I was open minded rather then closed off in the idea of having a different pathway. In both terms 1 and 2, I found that I just need to apply myself when illustrating, because when I do in the illustrate I can make great drawings but when I stop drawing for awhile I’ll lose that momentum and now I know how my own skills work when illustrating. I would say I’ve shown all I learn this year in my term 3 project because I have played with a lot of experimental work, I’ve dove straight first in ideas where I could have made in the last two terms. When I look at my term 3 work I can see my grown and my eagerness that I applied because when certain project aren’t my favourite I won’t produce the best work but know I can say I am happy with my work and the type of designer I became over the year. I would say my growth is one of the achievements I am proud of. Before it would of been hard for me to even start a new project or task because it was a bit daunting but know that I gotten the hang of it all I can immediately know what I can do. Even if I don’t know what I can do with a certain project I know that experimental work will also help in many ways. The word experimental was always a word I couldn’t grasp but now that I’ve been working on fashion design for a year I now know what experimental work is and I know how to achieve it.
